Dormitory repair work order

Turn a reported fault into a closeable work order. The urgency bar, reporter details, technician close-out and cost split keep one printed record moving from report to confirmation.

  1. 01 Report

Capture the fault where it happened

Enter the reference, date, reporter, room, contact and category. Use a short description that a technician can act on.

  2. 02 Schedule

    Set urgency and ownership

Choose normal, urgent or emergency, add a scheduled date and name the technician. The top bar keeps the urgency visible on the printed page.

  3. 03 Close

    Record work, cost and sign-off

Add the completion date and work done, then record the parts, labour, payer and employee share before the accepted, completed and confirmed signatures.

Questions to check

A work order earns its keep when the first report and the closing evidence stay together.

What makes an urgency emergency?

Use your local escalation process for immediate threats to people, critical services or the building. The tool records the choice; it does not replace that process.

Who completes the technician section?

The technician or responsible closer should add the completion date, work completed and any evidence your maintenance process requires.

How is the employee share calculated?

The total is parts plus labour. Company payment gives a zero employee share, employee payment assigns the total, and split payment applies the entered percentage.

Can I use this for preventive work?

Yes. Enter the planned fault or task, choose the appropriate category and use the scheduled date and close-out fields to document completion.

Why have three sign-offs?

Accepted, completed and confirmed mark different points in the work order: the request is accepted, the work is done, and the result is checked.
