What belongs in building rent or depreciation?
Use the monthly figure you actually use to manage the building. It can be rent, or a deliberate monthly depreciation figure for a building you own; keep the basis consistent when comparing sites.
Why are empty beds shown separately?
The building still carries its monthly costs when a bed is vacant. Showing that amount makes occupancy work visible instead of hiding it inside an average.
Does recovery from staff reduce the operating cost?
The tool shows both the gross monthly cost and the recovery separately, then subtracts the recovery to show the net cost. That keeps the underlying cost easy to audit.
Can I use a different currency?
Yes. The language deck supplies the currency symbol, position, decimals and grouping convention. A later translated deck can use its local market defaults without changing the arithmetic.
Does this store our accommodation figures?
No. The calculation is rendered and recalculated in this browser only. It makes no network request and writes nothing to storage.
